Just thought I'd do a little segment where I take a look and comment on song lyrics. you can comment or message me on my page for requess if you like!
well, here goes!
for my first episode I will do.... the song Drive By by Train.
here are the lyrics: (My comments are in bold)

So.... he saw a girl that looked like his girlfriend. Obviously means hes in love with her, and everywhere he looks he sees her. That's common. Moving on...

Or New York or Santa Fe
Or wherever to get away from me
This is sad. He doesnt know where she went and he thinks its to get away from him.Maybe it is... maybe not. But she left without saying goodbye or telling him where she was going, which meant it was probably for the best that he didnt know.

Oh I was overwhelmed and frankly scared as hell
Because I really fell for you
Ok, so, he did think he was going to fall for her, but he did. he's recalling the night that they spent together, and he was scared because he didnt think he would fall for her, but he did.

This is not a drive by
So hes saying he'll always be there and that hes not just... for a lack of a better term... using her.
Just a shy guy looking for a two-ply
Hefty bag to hold my love
When you move me everything is groovy
So this line is confusing, I'll have to admit, because first he says he isnt using her but then says stuff like that and it's like saying shes just someone for him to love...
They don't like it sue me

This is not a drive by

On the upside of a downward spiral
My love for you went viral
And I loved you every mile you drove away
So hes basically looking for everything good about her and telling people about it, which is what people typically do. He loved her so much... and she left.
But now here you are again
So let's skip the "how you been"
And get down to the "more than friends" at last
So now we discover he was just friends with her but she didnt know he loved her. She came back and he doesn't want to waste any time.

Is still the highlight
I didn't need you until i came to
So hes just saying he needs her there and didnt realize it until she was gone.
And I was overwhelmed and frankly scared as hell
